Since 1973 Toeristiek has conducted unique surveys. Based on the Dutch travel brochures, our research team travels around the world to describe beach and wintersports destinations for travel agents in the Netherlands. This team comprises an average of 20 specially trained and fully equipped researchers.
Our researchers are very thorough. Each hotel or apartment block is described by means of a checklist of 600 questions covering everything from the rooms, location, facilities, views and much more. Equipped with their computers, digital cameras, distance meters, compasses and GPS equipment, they are able to check everything in detail. For example: a swimming pool at a hotel is nice but not every pool is the same – that is why our researchers will find out whether the pool is filled with fresh water or sea water, whether it is heated and whether there is a children’s pool or a baby pool. Other examples: is there a bath, a hip bath, a shower or a bidet? What is the walking distance to the sea? And so on...
The destinations and regions where the holiday accommodation is situated, are checked for the beaches, public transport, shops, restaurants, sightseeing and everything else that is of interest to the holidaymaker.
After each journey the data of our researchers is processesed. Within a few weeks the results are then published in our information system Toeristiek TravelSearch, to which the majority of Dutch travel agents have access.
Toeristiek contains information about 24.000 accommodations, 3.400 resorts, 465 regions, 257 ski regions, 91 countries, 200.000 photos and many (ski) maps. Backed by this research, the Dutch travel agents are able to offer their customers the best guarantee for a successful holiday.

Als je een land hebt aangeklikt, verschijnt rechts van de tekst een lijst met alle streken binnen het land. Als je op een bepaalde streek klikt, krijg je de uitgebreide tekst van de betreffende streek.
